So I'm feeling the serious need for a little change in my hair color. Right now, it's a dark brown, but for summer I want to do either a honey blonde or a platinum style blonde (no bleach, don't worry!). I was wondering if you guys could just take a look at my pic and tell me if I could pull it off. Much appreciated! No one seems to get why I feel the need to change my hair and they aren't really helping me out much. I love my dark hair, but I just merely want to know if it would look good. Thanks so much :3
Is this your natural hair color? I find the darker your natural hair color is the harder it is to pull off lighter colors. If your natural hair color is lighter than this then I say go ahead, but if it's this dark I would go red or even darker for a change
When you lighten your hair, it's best to do it gradually, lightening it over time for two reasons. First of all it's healthier for your hair to strip the color more gradually, deep conditioning over time. Secondly, it helps you find what kind of tone you like along the way.
I agree, the honey blonde will look nice, but I would keep either some deep lowlights in or do an ombre style to keep your dark bows from making the look seem unbalanced or fake. Good luck, hope this helps
Thank you guys so much for your opinion! I dyed my hair yesterday. I was trying to go lighter, but it ended up being a honey blonde/brown look that I'm loving! It's in my vid I made today if you guys are curious! thanks again (:
