Coconut oil is your best friend..haha massage some through your hair and rinse it out it'll be much softer. Get a trim to remove dead ends. The oil I use is from The Body Shop approx $15.

I had some of the most dry, damaged hair ever. It felt like straw and I had horrible split ends.
I got a short cut to help my hair grow in all new and healthy, but obviously the hair left was still dry and damaged. I started using the argan oil shampoo and argan oil hair mask (I use it as a regular conditioner) by Dermorganic and my hair has NEVER been so soft and healthy. You can get the HUGE bottles at TJ Max for $20 each (normally $40 each). Much better deal than buying the small bottle from Sephora or Ulta for $16. I also use the argan oil leave-in treatment by Dermorganic along with Macadamia leave-in conditioner. When I use heat on my hair I use Beauty Protector Protect And Detangle.

Definitely you need to cut off the damaged hair and all you can do is protect your new growing hair try heat seal protect ant spray before blow drying/straighting try Paul Mitchell moisture shampoo n conditioner works so amazing to restore moisture to dry hair and after straighting try Paul Mitchell super skinny serum on ends will add shine and make your split ends disappear! all these products have helped my hair to be super healthy and I love my hair now!

a good shampoo and conditioner that's all I use. I stay away from hair styling that involves heat. Infact I don't do anything much. keep it all natural.

Even though we all hate to hear this. Get a haircut it works and its totally worth it n you save money rather than just trying to repair something already dead. I had super bad heat damage to my curly long hair n it was completely straight I was so frustrated that it was falling out n stringy I finally cut it last week and it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders n less stress now my hair is actually becoming more curly already and the damaged ends were weighing my curls down.
