My skin has been really dry ever since winter started. Even after I put my favourite moisturizer on it still looks/feels dry in some areas. Any advice on how to make my face more hydrated so it doesn't look flaky/dry?

You can exfoliate if your skin isn't too dry or is broken. I use a scrub from Boots and its really nice because its sort of waxy so I feel like it seals in some moisture. I use that mostly on my legs before I shave and then use lotion. You could also try moisturizing with a little bit of oil or switching to a thicker body butter or lotion. Also be careful of lotions with a lot of alcohol in them because they'll only dry your skin more.

I would follow Caitlin's advice. Exfoliate and switch to a thicker moisturizer. Another thing that will improve your skin is a toner. There are toners on the market for every skin type. Most people do not think they need one, especially people with dry skin, but everyone can benefit from a toner. It evens out the skin's moisture balance and helps to soothe dry, flaky skin, especially during winter. Make sure you use and alcohol and oil free toner. Also you might want to invest in a hydrating/moisturizing face wash or facial bar, The new Simple line is fantastic. Hope this helped
