Thanks everyone!?? I think it could probably get away with being called either or from what I have seen. I used the same method as doing a smokey eye (gradient from the lid upwards) and then just used a brighter shade in the center to create a halo effect. Also most beauty gurus I've seen call it a halo smokey eye. But to each their own!:)
