Hi everyone! I have combo skin and tend to get oily during the day in my t zone. I have also started breaking out with little bumps around my cheeks and nose area. I'm looking for a new skincare routine and would love to hear your recommendations! I'm also on the market for a product that targets blackheads!

What skincare products do you currently use?

I love using Biore nose stripes for blackheads. I use to use WitchHazel as a toner after washing my face. Very gentle for combo skin but takes care of the breakouts!

Also check out any brand of rice paper oil blotting paper for oily skin. Just gently tap it on your skin that's oily over your make up during the day and it soaks up the oil instantly.

I use Mario Bandescu, Origins, and Lush typically. I just started using Philosophy Clear Days Ahead too!

I'll pick up some witch hazel, I use to use it all the time! The Biore strips too! Thank you!

I too have combo skin and I find that the aveeno clear complexion line suits my skin well because it has benzoyl peroxide in it. I would suggest you get a face wash and moisturizer that has either salysillic acid or benzoyl peroxide and it should clear up quick!:)

Thank you Chloe! I have a cleanser that has that ingredient! I need to find a good moisturizer though! I'll check out the aveeno line next time I'm at the drug store!

Mario Badescu has been my saving grace for all those issues! Well and a few other brands, but mostly MB! I use the Enzyme Cleansing Gel, Glycolic Foaming Cleanser (used once-twice a week it contains glycolic acid which is an exfoliant that helps remove dead skin cells and oily build-up) , Seaweed Night Cream (light weight night cream for combination skin), and Silver Powder (odd product but it's a powder you apply with a wet cotton ball to areas that are prone to blackheads, and it helps them clear up over time). For a scrub I use the Body Shop's Vit C. Microdermabrasion. Moisturizer: Skin Medica Ultra Sheer Moisturizer (when I can afford it or have samples) or right now I'm using Neutrogena's Oil-Free Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin. Sunscreen: SkinCeuticals Physical Matte UV Defense SPF 50, though a good cheap one I recommend is the Olay Complete SPF 30 for Sensitive Skin. I also use the Bioelements Oil Control Mattifier before applying my moisturizer and sunscreen and it works wonders!

This is my favorite blackhead remover! It's from Murad (which you can find at Massage Envys, and Sephoras) it's good for all skin types and it really helps get rid of those nasty comedones! Also Biore nose strips are wonderful:)

Always make sure to wash off your makeup at the end of the day and to use a moisturizer and SPF in the morning. Be careful not to dry your skin out too much or your skin will continue to produce more and more oil. Be gentle and watch what you eat because that can cause breakouts too occasionally:)

Thank you Macy! I love Murad products! I will have to take a peek next time I'm in Sephora! I eat well and always wash my makeup off, I'm just in a skincare slump! I need to get into a routine and stick to it!
