Hi guys, I'm sorry I don't know what category to put this in or if it's against the rules but I've been posting some things to get some advice lately and I'm not getting any replies back. I'm a little bummed because I really wanted peoples' opinions and advice. I'm just posting this to ask if people can reply a little more. Like if you see a post over and over that has little to no replies if you could try to reply. Thank you and I'm sorry if this is against the rules or in the wrong category.

Hey girl! I've never noticed any of your posts however I agree, I do find that even people who do get lots of replies often don't even contribute to the thread they've made after they've created it, eg: won't answer people's questions, etc. I'm always trying to answer people's questions though if I feel I can contribute any help or advice. What were the threads about that you didn't get any responses on? :)

That's a bummer Riley! I haven't seen any of your threads either, but I'm not online super often.

Like Shaye said, there are a number of things that can hopefully increase the amount of responses you get. Make sure you go back to your thread and thank people and answer any further questions they might have asked in order to give you a better answer. Also, be active on other peoples threads! If people see you're engaging in the community, then hopefully they'll want to engage back with you :)

And it is important to understand that you might be asking questions that the forum isn't really able to answer. Like I said, I didn't see your posts, but if I don't feel like I can contribute to a thread then I won't respond. I hope this helps, and that you get some more answers on your future threads!

Thank you! I know you don't know but I always check back on my threads and thank every single person usually by name when they respond. My threads were about a good drugstore concealer that will last longer because my l'oreal true match and my Covergirl concealer a run out so quickly and also I'm going to be shopping in Toronto and I plan on buying Naked 3. Does anybody know how much it costs in Canadian dollars? My friend said it might cost more even when converting the price than in America. Does anybody know the price in Canada? Thank you!

Hmmmm, I have seen a few of your threads, and you have been getting replies on them, so I'm just a bit confused as to why you say you haven't received any replies back. There is some really good advice and suggestions that members made on your threads listed below.

The only thread I have seen that has not received any responses is the one you posted 7 hours ago listed below about drugstore concealer.

I'm not on this site too much anymore; however, Jamie and Shaye make excellent points. What also helps is 'following' other members. That way, they will see your threads pop up in their notifications which will increase the likelihood of getting your thread (s) more responses. :) In relation to your last post, you have to take into consideration the time and day you posted it. Generally speaking, Sunday's are not super active here, and a Sunday before a major holiday... very very little traffic. In my opinion, making a thread like this about not receiving any answers on 1 thread verges upon unwarranted. Sometimes, one just has to be patient(especially on a Sunday before a holiday.) :)

Sometimes, some questions are just so repetitive that members bypass them. I'm not saying that it's right, but I can understand why some bypass repeat questions. The search function here on Beautylish isn't the best, but if you type in your question before you make a new thread, you'll be able to see previous threads that are nearly identical to the search criteria you enter. You'd be surprised how much good information is floating around past threads. Just food for thought. ;)

If at any point you truly feel that your threads are not visible, or you have any questions as to how to help your threads get more activity, I would reach out to a Beautylish moderator. Any one of these ladies would be more than happy to help you. Here are links to their profiles:

Thank you Jaqueline. It must be that my threads aren't showing up publicly then because there are actually three that that haven't gotten replies and one of them was posted about three days ago and the others were posted yesterday or this morning. I'm sorry if you felt I was being rude or anything. Just wanted to voice my concerns and I didn't know how to reach out to the moderators. I've seen some of them reply to threads so I posted here. Sorry again. I tried to make it as nice as possible. It's just that I'm leaving for my trip in two days so I was trying to do some research. :)

Also, one thread I recently posted was a similar question to the one I posted three days ago because I was hoping for a reply but it looks like this one is getting a lot of replies. There might have been a glitch and some of my threads weren't posted. No problem. Thank you for showing support and concern everyone.

No, I do not feel you were being rude at all Riley. ;) Sometimes threads just slip down the feed... It happens. ;) If you are on the app, sometimes the app and the site don't sync up. That's why what someone sees on the app thread wise will be very different than what someone who uses the site via a desktop/laptop PC will see. Crazy, but true.  ;)

Yeah. I use the app so that's probably what happened :)

Hi Riley! I believe I have replied to your threads before or at least noticed them! Usually what makes me want to interact on a thread is if it involves a product or technique I am interested in trying.

If it's a MOTD and I have no questions then I usually don't reply because there's no use in just a bunch of people commenting "pretty!" when that's what the photo section is for.

Also I try to reply to other members who are active on my threads :) Lastly, another thing is if I can't answer your question or don't have experience with a product then I'll usually bypass a thread.

Hope this helped!
