Intense Smokey Eyes With A Twist.

Today I created an intense black smokey eye with a bit of a twist! I don't really do black smokey eyes, I love a good smokey eye but for some reason I just never do black smokey eyes. Constructive criticism always appreciated!

I'd also just like to say that yes, I am using the Jeffree Star Beauty Killer Palette. I know the drama and controversy around him and I've decided to no longer buy anything from him but I've already bought this palette, he already has my money for it, so I'm going to continue using it and get my money's worth out of it.

Face:
-Smashbox Photo Finish Oil Free Foundation Primer Pore Minimizing
-Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer
-Estée Lauder Double Wear in 2W1 Dawn
-Cover FX Custom Cover Drops in N35
-NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla
-Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder
-Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer
-Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder in Medium
-Too Faced Love Flush Blush Palette (Baby Love)
-NYX Illuminator in Ritualistic

Brows:
-IT Cosmetics Brow Power
-NYX Control Freak Brow Gel

Eyes:
-Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer
-NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean
-Jeffree Star Beauty Killer Palette (Courtney, Vanity, Black Rainbow, China White, Expensive)
-NYX Retractable Liner in Black
-Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara

Lips:
-MAC Pink Plaid

With my fingers I applied the Smashbox primer to my cheeks and nose and the Hourglass primer to the rest of my face. I added two drops of the Custom Cover Drops to my foundation on the back of my hand, mixed it with my finger, dotted it on my face, and blended with the Sigma F80. I applied my concealer under my eyes in a triangle, down the nose, and the Cupid's bow and blended with the Beauty Blender Micro Mini. I set under my eyes with the RT Setting Brush and the rest of my face with the Danielle Powder Brush. I applied my bronzer to my cheeks and forehead with the ELF Total Face Brush. I contoured my cheekbones with the Morphe E8. I applied my blush to my cheeks with the Danielle Blush Brush. I applied my highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones, down the nose, and the Cupid's bow with the RT Fan Brush.

I lightly filled in my brows with the pencil and set them with the gel.

I applied my eye primer from lash line to brow with my finger. I applied the jumbo we pencil to my lid and blended with my finger. I applied Courtney above the crease with the ELF Blending Eye Brush. Using the same brush I applied Vanity into the crease. I applied Black Rainbow on the lid with the RT Base Shadow Brush and the lower lash line with the blending brush. I applied China White to the brow bone with the ELF Defining Eye Brush. Using the same brush I applied Expensive to the inner corner. I applied my liner to my tight line and waterline and applied one coat of mascara to my bottom lashes and two on the top.

I applied my lip color straight from the tube.

And the eyes closed.

Looks amazing!! I have such a hard time doing smokey eyes on myself lol. Also what's going on with Jeffree Star? I'm not really into him or his products so I don't follow him.

slay this?

Thank you, Dana! Essentially Jeffree Star's been involved with a lot of drama about his behavior with fans and anyone who has anything negative to say about his brand, plus Kat Von D called him out for not paying someone for work that he did for Jeffree. I don't have all of the details myself but his behavior hasn't been acceptable.

Yeah that doesn't sound right! I watched a video of his once for like 2 minutes and instantly knew I did not like him lol.

I used to listen to his music way back in the day and even then I remember he had an attitude but that was like years and years ago. I think he hasn't taken that time to grow both personally and professionally like he should have.
