Oh my! It should be treated as a 2nd degree chemical burn- first let the skin heal itself and apply neosporin to prevent infection and then do Mederma. You should look at what your using on your face for even makeup because that could be causing breakouts to get bad- you should use a mineral makeup without chemicals and also no bismuth (it's in bare minerals and it causes cystic acne). Real MMU has zinc and titanium dioxide which is in soothing creams like A&D ointments for rash and burns, but it prevents bacteria growth and is excellent for skin. Anything with fragrance stay away from entirely!
I can't believe you would do that. Just ice maybe but what is the effectiveness of the salt??? Use a moisturizer and just wait it out I guess. You kind if screwed yourself on this.
Use a fragrance free moisturiser, like e45 (don't know if you have that where you live) Perfumed mositurisers can even effect the most sensitive of skin types.
try to get your hands on a aloe vera plant...aloe vera gel i feel is less effective. its great for burns and heals the skin. you want to keep it moist with aloe vera...keep applying the jelly from the plant and let the scab fall by itself!!! otherwise it will scar. avoid the sun as it can darken the scar...if you keep at it with the aloe it will go away but you must apply it while the burn is fresh and ASAP...i know it will be hard but avoid makeup if you can..sorry that happened to you sweetie ):
Use Neosporin and a gentle lotion. If the lotion stings find a different one. I'd put the lotion in in the morning and the Neosporin on in the evening.
Just let your skin do her job let it heal before putting anything on it..i know its hard cus you gotta ho to the streets like this but think about our body do a great a job on healing by it self dont irritate it more :)
I did this to myself in September by putting too much benozyl peroxide on my face; I just covered it up with make up and let it go away on its own- it sucks, but if you damage your skin after it was already burned off (thats what the scars are doing), it could work, but its also very likely it could cause permanent damage to your skin.
Rachel. who in the heck showed you this method!. ice and salt is a formula that makes ice even colder than it is freezing and leaving a freeze burn. havent you heard of children doing this exact challenge game my sister did this for several minutes and her skin and i litterally froze white and solid she had her burn look similar to yours but larger. she now has had a scar after 1 year, i really hate to tell you this but you have to hope this will not scar. please go to your doctor soon...as soon as possible.
Oh sweetheart you gave yourself a mild form of Frostbite.Yes,frostbite! It will take anywhere from a month to 6 months to heal.In the meantime, apply some Aloe Vera gel to the affected areas.Real aloe.Take some vitamin C.as well to help speed up the healing process.Stay out of the sun and if you must be in the sun make sure to wear a good sunscreen.Stay away from any harsh chemical facial cleansers because that will cause more harm to the areas.that are inflamed. Please don't try crazy methods as this again!hope this helps! :)

Eh yeah hun. Ice and salt makes you burn yourself, for future reference do not do that! That is the reason why your face looks burnt. Put aloe vera and triple antibiotic ointment on them, you also may want to go to a doctor. Since its winter you wont have to deal with sun much but if its sunny out try not to go out and wear good sunscreen.
Im so sorry this happened to you!
What actually helps get rid of pimples quick is lemon juice! I used this method and the pimple came to a head within a couple hours.

Yeah never put Ice and salt on your skin if you don't treat it in time it can leave permanent scars on your skin

Treat it as a burn. It is essentially frost bite which can actually cause the flesh to die. You may have horrible scars forever.

you can try putting neosporin on your scars and see if they heal or put cocoa butter on the scars everyday and see if they fade away.

Try BioOil. It's super moisturizing and healing and can prevent scars and even get rid of really bad ones.
