I feel like maybe you were a little heavy handed with it. Instead of sweeping with brush on your cheek try practicing dabing the brush instead. less is more.

I agree, it looks very heavy. It also looks too warm for a contour, what shade (s) in the contour kit are you using?

Yeah I think you need to try placing less product on. And maybe blending it more.

It's fawn from the Anatasia contour kit. I tried blending but then it got bigger, so I tried to put my foundation on top of it. And my blush I tried to put it a little bit on top of my cheekbone but I don't think I succeed at it

To me it seems like that shade isn't cool enough for your skin to contour (personally I think the Anastasia Contour Kits are too warm for contouring in general but that's besides the point). I'd suggest looking for a cooler more grey-toned shade to create a shadow effect as well as practicing using a light hand.

Thank you so much Alexis for your help! I'm trying to improve so much, I went to Ulta and asked if the lady working there if she recommended any brushes for contouring and she recommend the sculpting kit by RT, do you agree?

You're welcome! I actually have that set myself. I used the Sculpting Brush from that set to contour with for awhile and my tips are to just tap it into your contouring powder, tap off the excess, do a quick swipe under your cheekbones, and then blend the product upwards by flicking the brush up. Use a little at a time and build up only if you need to since it's easier to add product rather than take it away.

I use it cosmetics bronzer brush on its side to do my contour. It's very easy to blend using that brush! There are also tons of other more affordable brush you can look at but I always go back to that one. I also have a couple products that I love to contour. As the ladies above said, you do need a cooler tone shade for a true contour. The ABH contour kit (even fawn) is too warm! Kat Von d palette has a cool toned contour shade called sombre, but to be honest now, I wish sombre was a separate contour shade on its own because I don't use anything else in that palette.

Another new thing I found suggested by miss Jacqueline is inglots sculpturing powder in 505 sold here in beautylish. She said it's similar to Kevyn aucoin sculpting shade in medium. It's even more easy to blend than kvd imo.

Just some recommendations to help you out :)

Thank you SailorMoon And Livi! I totally understand that! I was trying to do that but I think I need to dab my foundation sponge, thank you for the tips :) Livi I was actually looking at the brush at Ulta! I regret not getting it now! Thank you too for all the tips! I hope tomorrow is better than today's

Where is the other pic from before? Also sometimes I think people contour is too deep at time but it seems to be the style.
