I'm a pretty curvy girl, and by curvy I don't mean overweight I mean curvy. This spring/summer I've already ordered a toooon of dresses from boohoo/ love culture/ F21/ etc.
I have never evvvverrrr worn shape wear before, but I'm interested now that I know a little about what it can do. I don't need to add shape, I have the hourglass thing down, but I DO want to be "snatched". aka - some compression and smoothing lol.

do you guys have ANY brand suggestions?

I love my Spanx! I like the higher power briefs. they do have ones that come down to the thigh but I find those to be a pain in the butt. I've tried the just the waist cinches and wasn't impressed.

Thank you Kelly! I ordered an array of dresses, and there are so many Shapewear options and brands that I am confused which to get for which thing. For my non-maxi/shorter than midi dresses I know the thigh ones would be a bit much. and I have a lot of racer backs so a full body wouldn't work for those. I also am a little nervous that they will show with "heather" material. (those thin sweater material dresses that aren't actually a sweater lol). I want it to be like a hidden secret lol.

Yeah you have to becareful with thinner material. I've seen sapnx that look like a body con dress. I would think that those would be a good option for dresses with thin material. I usually just tuck the Spanx under my bra and that hides any extra lines that may show thru the top.

I like the Victoria secret shape wear / they come in a lot of different styles which I like the most - I have a flabby tummy and when I use this one that just goes in that area with a built in underwear it's perfect and keeps my curves looking great

This is the one I have but apparently VS has discontinued their shapewear line cause I swear I can't find this on their online shopping website anymore :( sad! But maybe other brands sell something similar? Another thing you can try is a corset too if you just want your mid section to be sucked in.

@Diana thank you. Corsets seem so hot for summer lol. And so uncomfortable. I imagine the clasps would show too. But I'll look around thanks
