It is a great foundation if you are not super fair like myself but you wanna be carefully cause it is easy to put too much on since it's so thick.

Just got a "matte and poreless" foundation and I've personally been pleased with it and have gotten compliments on how my skin looks better than usual.

Well, it's all personal preference! matte foundations ate ideal for oily skin, however even dry skin gals use them if they prefer the matte look. I myself have oily skin and personally do not like overly matte foundations nor do I like the matte look.
This foundation, Rimmel stay matte, is pretty matte on the skin but not overly so. It is quite thick. the shaded are also more on the pink side and I'm super yellow so it didn't really work out for me. I still use it mixed with moisturizer on no makeup days when I'm having blemishes as the coverage is pretty good.
A matte drugstore foundation I like is the L'oreal Infallible pro matte - it's bit overly matte at all, looks more like velvet on the skin! Maybelline dream velvet is great nice too - also great looking on the skin. for winter, I like L'Oreal true match it's not matte but not dewy, satin!
however all of these I mention do not work with flaky skin as they accentuate day patches..so if your skin is more dry I'd go for either dewy foundation it moisturize and exfoliate before you put amatte foundation
