Had a chance to check these out at Sephora and I was sorta of disappointed. Disappointed that they had "sparkles" in them. Not so disappointed because now I'm not forced to buy one!

I read that in a beauty blog somewhere. It said they were sparkly but at the same time didn't really show up, if that makes sense.
I wish more brands could make really gorgeous strong highlights without such a glitter effect.

Marleen, did you put it on your face? I've looked at them a few times & felt the same way you did, but I didn't put it on my face. Maybe Taylor's on to something...?

No, didn't, but I should have. But like I said I really didn't want to like them. I have way too many highlighters. Probably to last me 10 years.

Oh wait, I just read that they're actually supposed to be used as finishing powders. Silly me! I thought they were blushes. Oops. At least I figured out how to use it right! LOL!!

I purchased the LE holiday palette and am completely in love with it. I didn't think it would live up to the hype, but it surpassed it. (Then again Miss Jackie & Miss Alma have NEVER steered me wrong.)

The second picture is the one I have. The blush in the bottom left looks like nothing in the pan; however, it's lovely on the skin. None of these make me look like a disco ball or anything but flattering which is kind of difficult to find subtle when you're 47.

Yes, most of the finishing powders are not sparkly. The LUMINOUS one is the closest thing to a highlighter in the finishing powders. But by most standards, it's a subtle highlight. I believe the darkest powder is called RADIANT and I think it may also have some luminosity, but I could be wrong.

Jacqueline, omg, that's hard to say. Mainly because I like different highlighters for different looks.
Love my new LAURA GELLER Rose Glow. It's a soft natural champagne rose. Love the gel/powder hybrid texture because the texture doesn't build up on the skin. I sometimes use this allover my face.
Also, love Becca Opal for a nude natural "what, I'm not wearing highlight, this is just mu natural skin" look. It blends with my medium, slightly olive skintone, I have the cream version. Also, love Mally Lit From Within highlighter/blush duo. This is for my "gold" cravings. Again, has that gel/powder texture and has a pretty blush in the compact, great for your purse, so you don't have to carry 2 products. Bobbi Brown's Pink Glow is nude pink depending on the one you get. This is a mosaic of white and nude-pink, and since mosaics are always different, they can read differently. My first Pink Glow had 50% white and appeared to white and frosty on my medium skintone. So I exchanged it for another one had 75% pink and only 25% white, much better. It was a pain in the ass, to open it up first, but I usually do it anyway, since I've been burned with cracked powders before. The BB is a more intense highlighters. If I was on a sinking ship and only had to save one of these highlighters, I wouldn't know which one I would save. lol!
I have more highlighters than this, but these are my top 4 babies.

Unfortunately, I don't think Rose Glow has been released to the masses yet. I got it on an exclusive buy on QVC in a kit. The kit is probably still available on Qvc though. And a bonus, the Rose Glow is twice the size of Gilded Honey and lighter in color than her BALLERINA highlighter.

I'm obsessed with all that hourglass blushes and powders. Recently I've got the palett with blushes, bronzer and powder. There is also one strobing powder in it. Since I have the hourglass blushes I don't use others than these. They blend so easy and the strobing powders, used as highlights are amazing. Yes, they have some glitter, but not soooo visible. There is a finishing powder called ethereal glow which I often use as setting powder for my under eye area. Amazing! If I want a highlighter with less glitter I take my highlighter from Ellis Faas. If I want to get more glamour I take my highlighter from "the balm" (Mary Lou Lumanizer)
