I prefer the original! They're both beautiful though, you really can't go wrong :)

I'm not a fan of the semi sweet, I regret purchasing it. The original is nice though!

Love the original. I'm not a snob about formulas. Don't get me wrong, I won't use a bad formula, but I'm not one who needs a top notch formula like the $80 Vise art palettes. The Chocolate Bar is not the BEST formula, but it's up there in the big leagues with Urban Decay, Lorac and Nars. And the cocoa scent makes it an even more pleasurable experience to use. I think the majority of people who have purchased it, don't regret it. But you have to love warm shades. And I think the 2 larger highlight shades are genius. Everyone uses those shades more. I think they were one of the first palettes to do that. Now everyone is following their lead.

I prefer the original. It has more essential shades to a look, you can create the most looks with the original. The semi sweet is good but not the best

I did not mean to offend Vise art fans. I'm just saying some people are willing to spend more money on certain products depending on their personal needs or desires. Whereas I would prefer to spend more on foundation like the Marc Jacobs Remarcable and the Smash box Oil primer because of my skin challenges. While other people don't have the same challenges I do with skin, can focus their money more on other items such as shadows and mascara. I'm sure if I was younger and had better skin, I wouldn't mind spending more on shadows. I'm just saying everyone has their struggles and if money were no object, I would love to try the Viseart shadows and a plethora of other extravagant products. I have seen the new smaller Viseart palettes and have seen a few reviews on their amazing formula but so far I haven't been that tempted because I'm quite happy with what I have already. Again , I'm not one who really experiments too much with the latest eye looks, so basic tried & true palettes are fine for me. I'm not hating on Viseart in any way, I don't really hate on anything. I believe even low end products have their place and value if it works your your particular needs.

I enjoy the too faced chocolate bars. My favorite is semi sweet and chocolate Bon Bons. While I love the colors in the original, I was not very happy with the darker colors it was dry/patchy and it had tremendous fallout. The original to me is more neutral toned. Semi sweet has a mix of really warm colors and some are cool toned.

I do have to note that I haven't used my other palettes ever since I bought a Viseart (dark mattes) it really is out of this world and I am really tempted to sell/give away the palettes I own because of how amazing viseart is. Pigmentation power with little blending needed. I just can't get myself to use my other ones ever since I experienced the viseart. Jacqueline recommended these to me, and I'm so glad she did. I just bought sultry muse to compliment my matte one.

I'll take your "rejects", Livi! Lolol. I don't own any Too Faced products, but if I were to get one of their eye shadow palettes, I'd invest in their Bon Bond due to the color choices and positive reviews. That said... a smaller Viseart palette would be my next eye shadow palette when I'm off my "no buy".

Chocolate Bar Original!

I think the other ladies have hit it right on the head! They're pigmented with a nice texture, but there are a few duds, especially with the paler shades (which can go chalky) or some of the glittery shades are a bit rough. But honestly the original Chocolate Bar Palette is probably the most used palette I own, and I think if you are debating between the two that's the one you should go for!

Jacqueline, no worries. I did think the Viseart Palette in Minx was right up my alley, as well as a Marc Jacobs palette I've been eyeballing. But, again, there are a few other pricey items on my list like skincare and my next highlighting job coming up in about 8 wks. And my hair alone will probably be about $300. So, just trying to prioritize my beauty splurges right now. I'm not saying I won't ever try a Viseart palette, but it will have to get in the back of the line for the time being. Maybe when the next Sephora 15% discount rolls around or they send me a $20 discount card.
