I use my face wash, it gets rid of any stains and leaves the sponge as good as new!

I use either macs brush cleaner or when I'm not out of it the beautyblender solid cleaner and hot water as hot as I can stand, I dry them with paper towels and put them in front of a fan afterwards (:

I use Dr Bronners bar soap and it works great and costs next to nothing.

Mix dish soap & olive oil in a small bowl and put it on your damp beauty blender and massage in!! It works wonders at getting the stains off. I wash it with baby shampoo after so it doesn't smell like olive oil lol.
