My daughter finally got her cast off this week after 4 weeks of having it on. the skin underneath is super dry and flakey. is there some type of gentle, natural scrub I can buy or make to help with this. She's going back to school tomorrow and it's really bothering her. thanks!! :)

You can take a warm damp wash cloth to gently remove the dead skin, you don't necessarily need a scrub!

She can also apply a balm like Yes to Coconuts Restoring balm to retain the moisture in the skin. Lotions, creams and "butters" that contain water will just evaporate and her flakey skin will just pop out again. Find a skin product with no water in it. Oils are good too, but don't last as long throughout the day and can be a little greasy for daytime use. You can also use Vaseline in a pinch.

Ok I recommend using CeraVe lotion you find it at Walgreens and use it every night and every morning and use it right after the shower :D hope it helps.

I'd go with Kitty's suggestion and when the skin is dry apply jojoba oil or vit E oil as a moisturizer.

Thank you all for your replies. I got a lot of it off with a wet wash cloth and for the remaining dry skin I've been using Vaseline lotion
