I know this does not belong in this category but there doesn't seem to be a "general" category. Until tonight when I saw a moderators comments that things were in the wrong category, I had no idea that there were different categories (and it appears many people share my sentiment). After 20 minutes I found how to get to the other categories. I think it would be very helpful to have directions on how to get to other categories, tips on what to post where and a "miscellaneous" or "suggestions" category.

Hi Ann and welcome to Beautylish! I get what you are saying - It is hard to give a general direction on how to find categories as it is diffrent acording to you device - I will add some screenshots from my app to show you how it looks on an android phone :)

I made a red circle around the talk section, when I'm on that I can see all the categories, I made a red line under all the different talk categories. I also made a red arrow pointing to the 3 dots which is were I can find my profile, my settings and things like that.

In the top it says title, here you enter a engaging and catching title.
Under that is says category, when you press that you get the option of choosing between all the talk categories and here you pick the one where your thread belongs, so if it's about hair you pick hair, if its about skincare you pick skincare and so on :)
Under that again it says text and this is where you enter your question/questions and all the info the users need to help you out :)

I hope this helped you out - but feel free to ask if something wasn't clear :)

Thank so much for the quick response and the great info! I think all the "chatters" could benefit from this info so it would great if there was a "general info" place to post this that is limited to the moderators.
I don't think the iPhone has the area you pointed to in red. I had to get to the other categories by clicking on an arrow that I never noticed before to the right of Talk on the main page. On a positive note I noticed that I can also do this next to Brands and I see that Beautylish carries a ton of brands I wasn't aware of. Yay Beautylish!

We try to inform about the categories to all, and as said its also stated on the actual beautylish website :) You can always email the team at help@beautylish.com about your suggestion they always welcome users suggestions and take them into consideration when making updates :)

I know its different on a iPhone, but unfortunately since I have an android I'm not really aware of how it all works on the iPhone, but its great that you figured it all out!

And oh my yes, BL sells the most awesome brands, I'm totally addicted to spending all my money here!
