I'm looking into getting a few things done on my face and body. I was wondering if any of you ladies have had any work done and if so, what ur experience was with the surgery you had done. particularly nose jobs and breast implants.
three words... research research research! take your time researching different doctors! I researched for almost two years before I felt satisfied with someone enough to operate on me. I am still to this day (almost three years post op) extremely satisfied with my doctor and my care before, during, and after. Oh, and of course research the different options for the different procedures! I would do it again without hesitation, but I took my time in choosing what was right for me. good luck :)
For face always see if they have qualifications in art (Portraits of people) as that would just be a little bonus as they will know the proportions of the face!
I am getting a breast augmentation surgery done in February and I can honestly say it helped me out so much to call each office and ask them tons of questions. Also go with the doctor with best reviews and most patient traffic. The best price isn't always the best choice!
The doctor said 1 week before you can go back to work and 3-4 weeks before you can return to normal rigorous activities. Depends on the cut (under breast or not), the placement (under muscle or not), and the type of implant (silicone or saline). Every body is different.
I got my Implants like a year ago and I personally love them but I definitely recommend set a couple of appointments to see what are your options and do your research
thanks ladies for all your input. Mandi when you have more than one surgery done at the same time, are the risks of any mistakes being made higher??.. Laila you had a long time to heal girl . I'm hoping my healing process is a little bit quicker. Gabriela how long did it take u to heal and are u happy with the size of ur breasts now?

thanks mandi you've been a lot of help. I'm gonna take ur advice into consideration :).. Mia I'm sure everything will run smoothly for you darling. I hope they come out like how u want them too
I had breast augmentation, and I don't regret doing it. As far as down time goes, I find it to be different for every person. For me, I would say that I was in a good amount of pain for a good week and a half.. In the beginning, every time you move is pure pain. Usually after your second visit to the Doctor, you'll be required to wear this very large, for lack of a better term, rubber band around the top portion of your implant. This is worn to push the implant down so it can settle into the pocket that the surgeon created for the implant. It is VERY uncomfortable because you are still quite swollen when you have to start wearing this. You'll also have to do some exercises so that the implant does not harden up from the scar tissue that will settle around it. This too is quite painful. All in all, I would say that it takes a good month to really recover completely.
This It also depends on how the implants are inserted. I had mine done through the navel, so there are no visible scars. The way they are inserted also effects the price too. You'll find older school methods like inserting the implants through a cut directly underneath your actual breast are much more inexpensive. If you are going to have this surgery, never get thee implant placed over the muscle, get them under the muscle. Implants that were inserted over the muscle look really obvious. You go from a completely flat area to a huge mound. If you have them done under the muscle, it's more aesthetically attractive. I did lots of research and I went with one of the most well known and respected Plastic Surgeons in the business, and I am VERY happy with the results.
wow Jacqueline you really did do your research. most of the things u just said are very new to me and I know a few people who have had the surgery done. thank you soo Much for your input. now when it comes to choosing the size of the implant you wanted, what did you base ur decision off of?

It's rude to tell someone what to do with their body. If someone wishes to get something done, it's no ones business to tell her otherwise.

I agree with Andrea ultimately it's her choice to do what she wants.
