I would say 1 inch. But they look more like crimps to me. I could be wrong though.

Hmm, I think you could probably pick any size you like, 1 inch may be too big, but what's most important about this look is making sure that you're taking really small sections of hair and making sure that you're not brushing them together because you won't get that piece-y look if you take big sections.
