Getting red out like getting red dye out or getting red tones out? I think it's very strange that a hair dresser gave you that advice.

Get rid of red dye* and I know but in Preston a hair dresser told me use fairy washing up liquid then use head and shoulders?

I don't understand why a hairdresser would give you that advice since it's a DIY remedy when they could just strip the red dye out for you.

I don't understand either that why I'm asking he said if you strip it will turn orange?

It'll probably turn orange if you try fading it with dish soap.

Personally I would go to another stylist and get your hair professionally stripped if you're looking to get rid of red dye.

Yes I heard about it and I have done it with head and shoulders and dawn dish soap. Both methods slowly fade any hair color dye but the dish soap dried my hair. I used the shampoo twice a week and after I used a hair mask.

Its okay if you want to tone the color... if you plan on doing it urself. but its going to dry up your hair.

Professional and licensed hairdresser here. the dish soap trick is a trick we are taught even in beauty school. and sometimes on the trickiest of clients colors we will use it. the whole idea behind this is that dish soap temporarily raises the pH of the hair this lifiting the cuticle layer and allowing he red pigment to fall out. make sure If you use this method that you follow it up by using a very good conditioner you will need the conditioner to return your hair back to its normal pH and seal that cuticle layer back down.?? the way you're hair would "turn orange" would only happen if you used hair bleach aka lightener. lightener blows up color molecules and destroys them. dish liquid simply helps the color molecules fall out of the hair shaft better.
