Hi girls, my skin is partially dry, bumpy, and inflamed. It's red around my nose and on my nose. I don't know if the bumps are milia, but I don't think they are.

I keep getting pimples out of the blue, which I never had before. I don't know where they're coming from.

I'm looking for something affordable (like under $14) that I can use to repair my inflamed skin and stop the breakouts. Specifically, I need a cleanser and a toner.

I've been thinking about cerave for the cleanser. My current routine:
-The face shop cleansing oil
-Missha super aqua cleansing foam
-cerave moisturizing lotion

Please help!😭

I have really sensitive skin. So I found Clean&Clear morning burst it is oil free. I use their facial scrub and facial cleanser. Then when I finish that I use Olay complete all day moisturizer with sunscreen (SPF 15)

I would suggest a calming moisturizer and cleanser. Like aveeno's oatmeal line or the body shop seaweed line, they're both gentle but acne fighting. To calm redness I'd do an oatmeal mask.

Thanks Mia, I'll look into those. I'm pretty faithful to Olay, it really is a great brand. Thank you Alyx, do you know what kind of toner would be good for calming? I tried to find an Aveeno oatmeal toner, but there doesn't seem to be one.

Seaweed and oatmeal are fantastic calming ingredients. I love the body shop seaweed toner.

But you can also make a green tea / oatmeal toner. Let a full cup of green tea brew till cold, then add a teaspoon of ground oats to it, then put in a spray bottle and shake before spritzing on your face.
But this isn't a "get rid of leftover residue" type of toner, just a spray to calm the skin. I personally use it when I'm very red, or swollen from crying, etc.

Oh and if you do make your own, store it in the fridge and it lasts about a week.

I love Cetaphil oily skin cleanser with the Cetaphil moisturizer in the morning and then at night I use the body shop vitamin e face wash, toner and moisturizer. The body shop stuff is more expensive than Cetaphil so if I can't afford the body shop stuff then I just use Cetaphil morning and night and my face is always good

If you have dry skin, using a foaming cleanser can sometimes be too harsh for your skin. It takes all the natural oils leaving your skin dry and tight, your skin then compensates for the dryness. Your glads begin to produce more oil to compensate for the dryness, this is what can cause irritation, inflammation and break outs.
I personally would change the cleanser to something more gentle, to see if you get an improvement. Cetaphil is a good option, cheap and very good quality from memory they have a cleanser for dry skin. Or you could try a milk or cream cleanser, this will help to keep your skin balanced and is an ideal cleanser for dry skin. Option two is to keep your skin hydrated with an emollient moisturiser or an overnight oil. Rose hip and jojoba oil are affordable, easily obtainable and do the job.

If you have pimples get a cotton bud and put apple cider vinegar on it. Then apply on any break-out areas before bed and keep doing until your happy!
