So so prior to makeup, my skin looks pretty smooth, sometimes it gets a bit oily but nothing too bad. I take good care of it, I think. My thing is as soon as I put on my make up even when I'm just on my foundation my forehead gets like super flakey, and it doesn't feel dry it just looks dry and flakey, I would go without but if I don't wear any I look tired because of my horrible bags! Maybe you wonderful ladies have some awesome skin care routines that could help?

Do you use a moisturizer before hand and do you exfoliate?

Maybe it's the type of foundation

Yes to both M G Sara it happens with all of the foundations I've tried so far the one I have now is the best one I've had but it's still a little flakey not as bad as before.

Try a primer and what moisturizer do you use.

Are you let your moisturizer set?

Don't rub in your foundation, pat it into your skin

What primer are you using?

How often do you exfoliate?

Any moisturizer?

What foundation are you wearing?

Would you consider your skin to be combo?

This happens to me too, it's really weird and makes no sense to me cause I do all the above also. what helps me is applying primer, then a thin layer of bb cream let that set, then apply a small amount of foundation. other days I just moisturize put primer just over my tzone, apply concealer in a triangle shape under my eyes, and then as weird as this sounds on dry skin I apply powder foundation with a big fluffy brush for a lil bit of coverage and to set my concealer. I've tried many many foundations and feel as if this is the only thing that truly works.

Try a damp beauty blender or a similar sort of sponge, it does wonders! That exactly happened with me too, and it wasn't even just foundation, even cc cream made me flake everywhere, I've tried flat top brushes, flat foundation brushes and stippling brush but nothing works unless it's a damp sponge.

Also, try using a facial oil or serum before your moisturiser ☺️

I do have the beauty blender it definitely makes a difference and I use primers as well I never used bb cream though.
