I recently dyed my hair an auburn color and I do not like it. Can I dye it a light brown to take out some of the reddish color??

My hair always pulls red so I always need to tone it as well but I dye my hair very dark blonde/very light ash brown. I would make sure at the least to use a cool toned/ash brown. Also maybe ask Kelly on her profile.

Usually color does not remove color unless it is formulated for lightning but I don't think it will get rid of the red. You can go darker or put an ash tone in it to neutralize the red. Otherwise you will need to go to a professional for a color correction.

I've used a medium natural brown before but it's makes it to dark for me. That's why I'm seeing if a natural light brown will work better.

Atziris V. I have done it before with a brown color and it does cancel out red the dark/medium brown is to dark for me that's why I'm wondering if the light brown will work bettwr.
