Hey ladies, a friend mentioned to me that I should try this... But I'm hesitant because I have 2a type waves/curls and my hair isn't very long, almost to my shoulders. Have any of you tried this technique on shorter hair? How were your results and do you have any useful styling tips for natural waves?

I've heard of this and haven't tried it. I have 3c hair. So definitely following!

I haven't tried plopping, but as for styling my natural waves, honestly I just brush it out after I shower, put Argan oil in it, brush it through.
Then I go in with Organix Kukui Oil and rub it through and brush again.
Then just air dry :)

I've tried it. I have a mix of waves and curls. I use an man's T shirt, it does work but my curls look better if I diffuse them

I had to look it up. I've tried almost every curly technique out there and never heard of this one.

Read this post, googled what it was and I had to try it. My curls hadn't been cooperating since I'd had my hair bleached. I'd been straightening my hair almost everyday because I couldn't wear it natural. I tried this, this morning and my curls looked SO good and that was only leaving it for 2 hours!

I don't have short hair but I'm sure it's a harmless technique and it wouldn't hurt to try.

Thank you Seeta. Used this method on my daughter when she was little, she is 40 now! Worked then so I don't see why it won't work now. Only one added suggestion. We both use Salon Series Ultralight Professional Ionic hair dryers. Ionic technology cuts drying time plus Sam uses the diffuser and just scrunches her curls and sets them with a cool shot to set them and add shine. I on the other hand use a brush to curl under my hair but scrunch around the crown for added fullness. Hope you understand what I mean.
