I'm a nail biter and have recently grown out my nails. They're in pretty bad shape (thin & break very easily). Will shellac help or only damage them more?

I don't know about shellac, but gels will not, as long as you take them off correctly, and don't peel them off, as far as my understanding is!

I don't know but I've read in the Internet that garlic heelp your nails do much.

I have shellac & the coating makes them stronger but nutrients wise, no. Thin nails are a portrayal of a poor diet usually.
Shellac is a good quick fix though.

The actual polish is fone and I actually like it because I don't pick at my nails and they get to grow.
However, nail techs often file the nails down a bit and it can be damaging, I too have thin nails. Its not so bad though, its worth it for me

I got shellac yesterday for the first time
I bit my nails daily(it's a horrible habit) and for me this very helpful, because its sorta slick my teeth can't 'hold' on the nails to bit. I absolutely love it, even tho it's not good for your nails like jasmine said.

As long as it's applied and removed correctly, it dries them out a bit but it's never really damaged my nails. I use gel polish regularly :)
