Ok so... How often do you wash it? (I got the solid cleanser to clean it, I've been washing it after 2 uses) & is it normal for the dye to come out?

The more you clean it the better. So I don't think you can really clean it too much. As for the dye I'm not sure because I have the Sonia K. "Beauty Blender" & it doesn't bleed.

I've heard that the red one bleeds

I wash mine after every three uses, and they last 3-4 months doing this. Though I use the real techniques sponge, so it may be a little different.

I clean mine with water after every use and wash it maybe after 3 uses. I don't have a genuine one but I've heard of the red one bleeding as well.

See I have a pink one and it bleeds every time I wash it! Maybe I got a bad one or something.

I used to have the pink one and it bled like crazy! I returned it to Sephora and got the one for sensitive skin instead (it's called BB Pure). I had to order it online. Since it's white, it looks disgusting after one use, so I wash it every time I use it with the BB solid cleanser. Also, I'm a little bit of a germaphobe :)

You didn't get a bad one. I have a pink BB, I clean it with the liquid cleanser once a week (I use it daily) and it bleeds every time. I've had it for months and it works perfectly despite bleeding every time I wash it (gently). It hasn't faded, funnily enough! That's just the nature of it, it won't compromise the quality and if you want one that doesn't bleed get the black or white one. I've found that none of the dye EVER transfers to my face - it only comes out when you squeeze it while washing. So don't stress, just be gentle when you wash it and make sure you use the companion cleanser in my experience. My close friend washed her beauty blender as gently as possible with baby shampoo and it fell apart after a few months. Some bloggers have reported success washing with products other than the marketed cleanser, some have not.

I splurge on the liquid cleanser because it makes a great, lovely smelling brush cleaner for regular makeup brushes as well as my BB.

Kailey, I've read that the BB lasts about 4 months, but when can you actually tell it's time to replace it? I had my last BB for about 7-8 months, and it was actually looking fine when I threw it away. Is it because of the bacteria, or does the actual sponge get damaged?
