You know what I totally understand mouth insecurities! I have extreme insecurities about how small my mouth is, not how full it is, but how wide it is, I can't eat with a normal size spoon and when I'm at the dentist their tools are waaaay to big to fit in my mouth!

That being said I think you have a beautiful mouth! I think it's perfectly shaped and I think the distance between your upper lip and nose gives your face such a distinctive and beautiful look! But if it something that is bothering you a lot, and the surgery is a possibility and not to dangerous then I understand the wish to do it, if there was a surgery that could make my mouth wider I would do it instantly! But your gorgeous and you don't need it :)

I understand insecurities in general. I got teased growing up for being chubby and now I'm just all sorts of insecure with myself. if surgery will make you happy then I see nothing wrong with it BUT I also don't see anything wrong with your mouth. I really think that you are just so beautiful. you have such an exotic look to you and in no way do you look like a monkey! kids are cruel, and sometimes so are adults. but the space between your nose and lip is probably something that only you notice now. your a natural beauty, don't worry about the space between your nose and lip :-)

Everybody has insecurities, it's impossible to not have any. But, your facial features were made to fit your face and anything else would look a bit strange or off, personally I didn't even notice when I looked at the picture and then I read what you typed but I still can't understand it. You're lovely, the space only adds to it.

I also think you're beautiful. I can also understand the insecurity. I had an "Elvis lip", when I would smile one side of my Cupid's Bow would go up higher than the other. It bothered me so much that I did get work done on my lips. I'm sure no one noticed it but me, but it made me crazy. I think you're gorgeous and from my eyes you don't need anything done. However I don't blame you if you do- we all want to feel good about ourselves. I'm super happy with the work I had done and I would do it again. Not for anyone else but for me.

Kids can be cruel, that's for sure, but they often just say things to push buttons. Sometimes it's even out of jealousy. Just saying. Having unique facial features can make people stand out, and it's often in a good way. Personally, I think it gives you that uniqueness that people are always looking for in a model. However, if it makes you feel uncomfortable, there are some contouring techniques that can help minimize the area by highlighting the parts of the face you like. And, as a last resort, there's nothing wrong with surgery - as long as it makes you feel better about yourself. Cosmetic surgery has had some serious advances that make it much less risky over the past few years.

I looked at your picture first and didn't see anything wrong. your face is generally very long and your upper lip fits in the proportions. Everyone has something they don't like about them, for me it's my eyes. that said it is also what makes us unique. I watched many surgery videos, I tell you the fails are horrible. don't touch your natural beauty.

I would not have noticed that issue at all. You have really nice features. That being said, I had two surgeries to correct issues. I broke my nose when I was a toddler and it had a horrible bump so I had surgery at 19. I also had a breast augmentation at 25 bc I was insecure from being an A cup. Both surgeries were life changing and I have no regrets. If something bothers you and you have the money, go for it. Just do your research finding a doctor as I don't think that's a very common surgery.
