I know I should be getting trims but I feel like every time I do all it does is stop my hair from getting longer and ends up getting damaged again. It seems like my hair really doesn't grow much after the point it is now but I reallllyyyy want it much longer haha. Any products that actually work for fixing dry damaged hair?

I say get a trim so it's nice and healthy again. Then you can start doing a few things to keep it healthy. Try not to use heat as often, when you do use heat make sure you use a heat protectant ( I use tressume) , leave in conditioner (it's a 10), hair oils (Argon is my fave) and hair masks (I like using coconut oil its the best) all help your hair stay healthy. Oh and don't brush your hair when it's wet.

What's your hair regimen? Do you use heat regularly? Products?

I feel the exact same way Isabella! What I did two summers ago was avoid using heat for around 6 weeks and my hair grew around 1-2 inches. Also hair masks and deep conditioning I've heard can help. Just keep using heat protectant to try and limit the damage. Other than that, I don't know what else you could do?

I do straighten my hair often but I use heat protectant. Idk yeah I probably should give my hair a break from heat for a little while. I use treseme shampoo and conditioner which I love but I've never tried any deep conditioners, oils, or masks. I think I'll get a trim and look some of those products up. Thanks girls!

If you don't want to trim it. I suggest you use a hair mask once a week! And a serum after your shower! I had the same dilemma and oils and masks really helped!

I'd say definitely invest in a good deep conditioning treatment designed for damage, and do weekly oil treatments. You could probably benefit from a good leave in conditioner too. Also leave the heat alone for a while too. You can do waves and curls without heat, direct head especially.

I would try buying a better brad of shampoo and conditioner. I always condition my hair with coconut oil at these once, sometimes twice every two weeks to keep my hair healthy. it really helps :) I always put moraccan oil in it after I get out of the shower and it always helps. Maybe shower and night and let it hair dry, that seems to help keep your hair healthier swell.
