Hi beauties. I purchased the Clinique cleansing balm today on a whim. Upon reading the ingredients (duh) I'm thinking of returning it because the first one is ethylhexyl palmitate and from what I understand it can be highly irritating. I'm trying to be very gentle with my skin right now and not introduce anything that might cause a reaction. Any input?? Shelley? Thanks!

I love that cleansing balm!! Its never caused me any grief. Its a naturally sourced ingredient that is a alternative replacement to silicone, which for myself personally my skin can't handle too much of that in any product. Test on your inner arm and/or behind the back of your ear to see if you have a reaction. If nothing occurs give it a go on your face. Also do not introduce anything else new to your skin so that way if an issue does pop up then you will have a better idea who the guilty suspect is.

I double cleanse when using this balm ( I follow up with Philosophy Purity Facial Gel) so my skin can better penetrate my serums. This balm does a great job at removing my eye makeup. :)

I really like this product & haven't had any problems as far as it irritating my skin. Like shelley, I double cleanse & follow w/ my cerave foaming face wash. far better at removing makeup than wipes, imo
