I love this sponge! I get mine wet and full, squeeze the water out, and then I dab my foundation on my face and blend with the sponge in a sort of bounce and twist motion. I clean it once a week with Sonia Kashuk's brush/sponge cleaner.

What's the difference as far as the finish vs a brush.

Haven't tried this one, but I know the goal is to make you look less cakey and not streaky like a brush might.

They're also just really easy and very workable

I love this sponge. I find it only gives sheer coverage so I tend to apply my makeup with a brush and use this where I look cakes. You're supposed to clean them every 3 uses but I find I can go a little longer

I have one and I like it the same as my beauty blender, maybe even a little more since it's so much cheaper lol. First I get mine really wet with warm water, squeeze out the excess water by hand, then give it one more squeeze in a towel to dry out a smidgen more. I dab my foundation onto my face and then blend it with this sponge by tapping/bouncing it onto skin. I wash mine after every use to prevent staining and keep bacterial growth to a minimum with an antibacterial handsoap. The only differences I see finish wise with this vs a brush is that this seems to sheer out foundation coverage the tiniest bit (not much) and also doesn't accentuate my dry patches like brushes do to me sometimes.

I had to go and buy the real t sponge to compare to the actual beauty blender I also have and in my opinion they were both different, in texture material and finish plus lasting power. The real techniques sponge is like the mini makeup applicator sponges you can get for a few dollars not compared to the beauty blender which is more like a microphone cover ultra soft and expands when wet but is also made to not over load in liquid or soak it up leaving product at bay to help with application or set it With no air pockets like most sponges. It's used for anything not just makeup alone. Are these product's a must have nope but it helps with speed and timing depending on your daily routine. I find that people seem to be on the real techniques band Wagon it's really the ( it ) product for some reason so if by chance you do like it I think you'll also like eco tools since they're the same product from the same company. :)

I love the RT one, on the back of the package I believe it says you should wash it every 3 uses. I wash mine with my facial cleanser :) and in between that I use a brush cleaning spray for a quick clean.
