I ordered 5 of these highly pigmented glosses. supposed to be a close dupe to lip tars. I want to have the option to make it more of a matte finish. any suggestions I can do, besides blotting?

Unfortunately they stay as they're a glaze and if you Blot them they just end up looking like a lip stain. I didn't find them to be a dupe for lip tars at all.Use a lip brush when applying, they can be messy.

I really don't think they're meant to be matte but you can try translucent powder over top of them.

I would use a translucent powder over them. it works for all my glossey lipsticks I pefer matte too

Ema,I have a couple of those LA girl liquid to mattes and Omg! They're so good! I highly recommend those. They feel like you have nothing on yet they have extremely great staying power and don't feel drying what so ever by far the best lower cost end of liquid to matte finishes. :) I was highly impressed.

Good to hear that you recommend them Almaden because I plan to collect a few of these so I can put and end to this liquid matte lipstick thing. They are priced just right. I was so tired of spending nearly twenty bucks.

Lol I completely understand Ema, that's why I was so happy that LA girl really upped their game and have a legit liquid matte that was just as good as the higher end. I will be buying more soon because at that price why wouldn't I lol oh I also bought their HD concealer it's pretty, the finish is subtle sheen not a full coverage concealer but nice it melted into the skin with a pretty finish. I will say this if it was sold as a foundation versus a concealer it would be one of the most prettiest fresh skinned foundation of a lower end line, it's that nice.
