None! Drop the clarisonic now, if you have acne. Call Face Reality Acne Clinic in San Leandro.

If anything maybe the sensitive brush is ok - but I agree with Lisa I would never use it on my sensitive acne prone skin - I watched the Paula's choice 10 skincare myths and the whole clarisonic purging thing they said was a myth and that you should limit that kind of exfoliation to once a week at the most - so I don't see how it's worth it to invest in something so expensive and abrasive that it could ruin my skin - no thanks I'll pass :)

I had really bad acne (went to the derm several times and nothing was helping) and Clarisonic is the best thing I did! Anyways, I have super sensitive skin and I recommend using the delicate brush head and only using the brush once at night, after removing makeup. Also what cleanser are you using? I really like Philosophy Clear Days and Murad...

Another thing, in my opinion Clarisonic is not damaging if you use it properly (not digging into skin and using right brush for your skin). Now other brushes out there like Clinique, Olay, etc. are extremely damaging because they do not have the sonic pulses that the Clarisonic offers. Like I said, I love mine and I've had it for three years and I have definitely gotten my $ worth. Its pretty amazing on how great it works, when I first got mine I removed my eye makeup and washed my face twice (like I had been doing everyday) and then I used the Clarisonic and the brush was brown when I was done! I couldn't believe how much I had missed and I wasn't even wearing a thick foundation that day (it was just a bb cream). From then on I use it religiously. I have only not used it once and my skin paid for it! So I make sure to use it every night!

My dermatologist recommended the Clarisonic for my (mild but occasionally I get bad patches/a few cystic pimples) acne. Generally (and no offense to the ladies above) when people have problems with the Clarisonic causing dryness or sensitivity, it's because they're using it wrong/pressing too hard with the brush head. It's not something you need to scrub around your face, you only have to lightly press it on your skin for it to do the job. Also, only using it once a day will help if you experience sensitivity as well (I used to use mine twice a day, but now I only use it at night and it works much better). I have acne, and I've tried the acne brush head and the deep pore brush head. I liked the deep pore brush head better. My skin is relatively sensitive, but more so to products I use than to the pulses my Clarisonic make (for instance if I use harsh face washes it gets irritated and sensitive quickly, but I've never had a problem with my Clarisonic irritating me). If you have extremely sensitive skin though, I'm sure the sensitive brush head would work just as well. And remember, most people do go through a purging period, so just keep that in mind. I hope this helps, and that the Clarisonic works for you!

I have oily acne prone skin and I've been using the clarisonic for about 2-3 years. I use it almost every night especially if I used makeup that day. I first began using the sensitive skin head and these past months I switched to the deep pore head. It definitely cleans my face thoroughly and leaves it smooth. It hasn't made my break outs worst but it's definitely helped a lot. (I am also using topical acne treatment). I definitely recommend. But at first use it at least 3x a week with a gentle cleanser. Introduce it to your skin slowly. And always replace it at least every 3 months depending on how often you use it and how dirty it looks. I could never go without my clarisonic!
