So as the title says this is a once and a life time opportunity. my sister is going off to college in the fall. she has never been into hair, makeup, fashion or anything of the sort. she has let me do her makeup once and her hair twice in her entire life. shes has a huge issue with clothing. like she hates a ton of materials and always gets the biggest size that won't fall down. like she's probably a medium in teeshirts but buys an extra large. shes not fat what's so ever but when she wears these sizes of clothing you can't see her figure at all. Here's the big deal. I've convinced her to let me transform her right before college. she is shy at school and doesn't hang out with a lot of people outside of school. I want her to be able to look nice for job interviews and to feel more confident in what she looks like. she is letting me pluck and trim her brows, cut her hair, help pick her graduation dress, do her hair and makeup, and give her a mani pedi. this is all the day before and of her graduation.

she has blue eyes
light brown hair that goes down to her butt
light freckles
shes about 5`3
small but full lips
her eyebrows arent great but will be after plucking

btw she will only let me do eye makeup and possibly powder
she wear thin metal rimmed glasses

I'm most likely cutting long layers in her hair and would like some good techniques of doing so
what makeup would compliment her blue eyes

I know this may not seem like that big of a deal but my parents have been on her case for not having her hair cut and stuff like that.
btw she wears a low messy pony tail everyday even when she sleeps. the scrunchy she uses has lost all its elastic and is just a cloth circle. when shes tightens its it breaks her hair. I'm layering her hair so that it will not have as much breakage. what are some good simple hairstyles I could do with layered hair for her graduation.

Also we are keeping all of this a secret from my family to make it a surprise.

I don't know about the hair but for her eyes I would take dark colours to make them pop, or some color in the range of the color opposite of blue (orange/brown) like peach colors. it's very nice of you to do this for her

I would curl her hair (hat hair will be less noticeable sense she'll have to wear her cap) and maybe just pull the front pieces back out of her face so she doesn't hate it. then I would do a natural makeup. You don't want to scare her off if she doesn't like makeup. Tight line her top lashes, and line her eye very thinly (I would only go 3/4 of the way on the top, and 1/2 of the way on the bottom) do a light shimmery pink color all over the lid, a light brown on the crease, a darker brown on the outer "v", then highlight her brow bone and inner corner, then smoke out the eye liner with a matte black, just to soften it up a tad. Do a light soft matte pink color for lips, then add just a tad of shimmery pink gloss just in the center. Then if she'll let you, highlight her cheek bones, then add just a tiny bit of blush and bronzer to pull it all together. Let us see pictures if she'll let you!! I absolutely love transformations!!

Then hair like this (I would curl the hair with a wand so it gives a better looking curl)

I'm no help in the hair dept, but as I blue eyed girl myself, I'd see if she'd allow you to do a was of a copper shimmer on her lids. Then maybe a really thin eyeliner in dark brown shadow so it's not as harsh and then a shade lighter brown shadow to line her lower lash line.

For blue eyes:
Start with a beige/tan/light brown all over the lid. Use a darker shade of gold/mauve/copper/bronze in the crease and use a dark blue to line on the upper and lower lash lines/water line. Use a blue mascara, all the blue makes the white of your eyes stand out, making your blue eyes pop!

For her hair you could have it down loose because it requires no styling tools. Part it in the centre and apply a texturing cream and start scrunching the hair.

You could do it in a loose bun. Blow dry the hair with some texturing balm to add volume and secure it in a loose ponytail at the crown before shaping it into a bun. For a messy look, loosen the hair at the sides and at the top of the head with a fine-toothed comb. You could do this at the side and add a hair band or some hair accessories.

Half up half down!Take the hair at the top of the head and secure it into a loose ponytail. You could curl sections also.

Defined waves! Keep it loose and create waves at the end. Part the hair at the centre and use a curling iron to create defined waves at the end. Let the hair cool an brig the curls with your fingers.

Hope I helped 🌸
