I'm a freshman in high school now too and Nikki D's description is soooo accurate. Everyone starts the year off with nice outfits and hair, but as soon as you reach finals week everyone stops caring. Wear however much makeup you feel comfortable in, just make sure you apply it well and blend! There are some girls at my school rocking the orange face, white neck look. Winged eyeliner is really popular so if you want an easy, simple look that's what I would do.

High school is way different than middle school lol, your welcome.
just make sure you feel comfortable, my freshmen year I wore whatever I felt most comfortable in and that was a full face.

Make sure you're just being yourself, because not everyone will like you and that's totally fine. I wish I had known that when I was in high school! Being a people pleaser prevented me from embracing my style.

Just wondering what grade freshman year is? Every region has a different education system and the American terms aren't familiar. Also, we were never allowed to wear any makeup to school n am glad about that. :)

Thanks! We all have uniforms here n no styling except some kohl n lip balm.. I personally think it's great coz we really got many other fun things to do while still in school than to worry about make up n hair. In fact ppl in India don't really wear much make up to college either :)

When I was in middle school, I'd always worry about this but honestly no one gives a crap. hair up in a messy bun with no makeup and sweatpants are the norm for exam week and every week. Just be you :)

Katelyn I totally understand your concern highschool is a big change but guess what the great thing is that their are so many more people just like you so I would say start out with light makeup bb cream and some mascara and if you wanna go heavier go for it and for hair keep it simple pony tail messy buns braids and outifts whatever is your style ( hipster, goth, punk , boho ) and have fun in highschool more importantly and @Ramsha is right @Meagan people write these posts to get helpful advice

Also, if you wanna go heavy on the makeup, go for it! I wear a full face with bright/dramatic colors everyday, and I have since freshman year. (I'm now a junior.) you might get weird looks, but people will get used to it, and no one cares for more than a week anyway! high schoolers are too absorbed by their own lives tbh.

I think you should do whatever makes you feel prettiest! :) although as a sophomore almost junior, I will tell you that there comes a point where makeup is too much effort and you just stop wearing it unless there's something major going on.
