So I just got the Kat von D lock it tattoo foundation about a month ago. (late I know) but I was a little hesitant on getting it. I don't know. but the first time I used it, I LOVED it. such great coverage. it dries matte, which I'm not super used to, but it went on so well.

long story short, I tried it a second time...and it CLUNG to all of my dry patches and dried pimple scabs! :'(

I had NO clue what happened this time. I practice a very strict skin care regimen and I made sure I go HAM with moisturizer to keep it from patchin up. I have combination to oily skin so I figured this wouldnt happen to me with this foundation.

questions are: Has anyone experienced this same phenomenon and has a similar skin type, and what do I do??

I agree with Diana T - try using a primer. Also, how do you apply it? Maybe it went on a little thicker in those areas? I use a Kryolan primer first. I pump one blob of the concealer on my hand, then use a sponge applicator to "dot" it all over my face. Then I use a giant kabuki blush in a circular motion all over to blend it in. I saw someone do that on youtube and I decided to try it - now it's my everyday routine.

I use the lock it tattoo foundation & the same thing happens to me from time to time. Just make sure you moisturize & use a primer before. Also exfoliate once a week to get rid of the dead/dry skin patches on your face. I love this foundation but it's not the best for people with dry skin.

I loved the KVD foundation too when I first got it, now I HATE it.

I love my KVD foundation. But it does cling to set spots. I love the ole Hendrickson moisturizer to help get rid of dry patches :)
