On the right side of my cheek/chin, I have a lot of scarring from previous acne, and some acne still. No matter what I use, you can always see purple ness under my foundation/concealer. I've used full coverage concealers, put it on before and after my foundation, used a really small brush to get precise application, used two different types of stippling brushes, and even used a green concealer. NOTHING covers completely and it drives me crazy! Does anyone know of a super full coverage concealer that will actually do the job? If that's even possible? Lol, I'm on the verge of just giving up.

Oh, and I always set my concealer with an powder

If you have any suggestions, it means a lot :)

Well if your scarring is purple then a green concealer won't cancel it out, you'll need a yellow concealer.

In my personal experience dark spots don't cover very well so I suggest taking care of the root issue (the scarring) rather than trying to pile products on to cover it up.

Use a dark spot corrector, I like Dr. Lin Acne Spot Corrector, and make sure you're exfoliating. Vitamin C serum will also help fade the dark spots.

The origins quick hide concealer is amazing, and they have taken a purity pledge (as in nine of their produces will not clog your pores, paraben free, etc.)
If you use a Makeup sponge or beauty blender, I have found that concealers go on smoother

I have some scarring problems too- they're not purple though. I recommend Macs prolong wear cream concealer. If you use it on a small detail brush and spot conceal each scar, you should get a full coverage finish. It's very time consuming, but it's worth it once it sets and doesn't budge.

Shamanuti Activated Charcoal Cleanser, Shamanuti Toner,100% Pure Cosmetics charcoal Konjac Sponge, Dr.Jart Liquid Ceramidin & Tarte Maracuja Oil has & still does work miracles for me. Now I can walk outside with out putting any foundation or concealer on. Shamanuti & 100% Pure Cosmetics are worth every penny. Also I take Biotin, Vitamin A & Fish Oil Vitamins.. As far covering scars a Concealer with yellow or pink undertones would work to cover spots. Mac Prolong Wear Concealer is Amazing & doesn't look cakey. Has great staying power as well, hence the name Prolong Wear. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Skin Conceal Concealers work well too. You definitely need to set with powder and use a beauty blender or stippling brush for best results.. Hope this helps

I agree with Alexis C. The only thing you need to do is get a colored concealer and make sure the intensity is good for your skin. (Fair= lighter pigment. Medium = a slightly darker pigment. Dark = darker pigment. Also don't go for straight on yellow or gold. )

The makeup forever full cover concealer is amazing as well. You only need a tiny dot and it will cover up everything when used with a small detailer brush for precision.
