So I've been wanting to try out the Rimmel stay matte primer & the foundation and I've heard they're good for oily / combo skin. Has anyone tried them?

I've tried a few things in that line and I just found that everything looked really cakey and it hardly lasted 3 hours.

The foundation just sucks, a lot.
it's cakey no matter how you apply it. I applied it with a damp beauty blender, kabuki, fingers. and it still looked gross and didn't even last.
I would never even think about repurchasing it.
I haven't tried the primer though.

The primer has a silicone feeling. The foundation is terrible. The powder is AMAZING.

Personally, I freaking love the foundation! I'm the type of person who hates 1) cake face 2) super matte look, but this foundation makes my skin look soooo flawless! Literally so smooth. I thought I would hate it after the bad reviews I heard but NOPE! It's amazeballs and for under $5? Yes, please. You literally need like a nickel size amount, if that, on both cheeks and it covers EVERYTHING! Tomorrow, I'll show you a before and after. Also, this foundation lasts forever on me! (I have moderately oily skin). Once I applied it 6 a.m. and accidentally fell asleep with it on (oops) and it was still looking good on the skin at 8 a.m the next morning! I kid you not. I'm SOOO glad I gave it a try haha. :) only downfall is it runs SLIGHTLY pinkish, but not overly so

The primer is pretty nice as for that matte foundation the color range isn't wide which is a bit disappointing.The formula seems different from years ago But not bad.Their match perfecting is actually pretty good.

I like the primer a lot, but the foundation was awful for me. I applied different amounts different ways, and no matter what it looked super cakey. I wanted to like it because the color is perfect but the formula is just... bad. For me anyway.

Also, yeah, I didn't get luck with the powder. I got the translucent for my under eyes and its waaaay too drying lol. It's also NOT translucent and the packaging+powder broke like super easily lol.

I use the primer and it's pretty good. Keeps me from looking shiny. The foundation is alright, once again nothing special but I'd say for the price, the primer is worth it.

Oops yeah I agree about powder, it was waay too pink and I got the translucent.
I wouldn't buy the foundation or powder personally.

I like the foundation, powder and the primer is great! Just be careful how you apply the foundation as it can cake up pretty easily but using a damp beauty blender helps with application. The shade range is pretty poor but if you can find a shade pick it up!

I completely agree with Renay! I absolutely love the foundation! It has never looked cakey on me. I wear it on days I actually decide to do my makeup and set it with the Stay Matte Powder which is my HG!

I use the stay matte foundation and powder. I love both. I use a primer and apply a little amount with a buffing brush. the finish is nice and matte.

I don't mind the foundation, just make sure to use a small amount. the first time I used it, I used too much and my face looked so smooth and my mom and sister said I looked like a doll... the coverage is good though, I make small dots, and I meant small... and blend it in with a flat top (I use elfs flat top brush). A little goes a long way.

I just bought the stay matte primer and foundation, used it about four times now and I'm loving it. I have really oily skin and it seems to be lasting well. I loved the powder too but one of the ingredients is mineral oil and with acme prone skin I don't want that crap on my face, I wish they'd remove it.

As with some of the other ladies hate the foundation its cakey and sticks to dry patches horribly love the primer haven't tried the powder.
