Hi beauties,
M soooo disappointed since I got chicken pox. its the 8th day today and my blisters are drying up and scabbing. These are due to leave brown spots on my skin. I want to take proper skin care as soon as these scab off completely so that my brown spots fades away fast.
Has anybody encountered the same condition before. Your inputs and opinions required
Thanks

Don't go in the sun otherwise you will have permanent scars.

Really just keep yourself hydrated. Once the scab falls the "spot" will usually be gone within a few days if that. My poor brother had chicken pox three times! The last set there wasn't a bare spot of skin... And I believe it's pink/white spot below the scab as its new skin. Just care for it, avoid sunlight. Moisturize moisturize MOISTURIZE and drink lots an lots of water. Good luck lovie.

You could take vitamin E and moisturizer cream

I got them as a kid too but they never left any scars - could be that being young your body just recovers a lot quicker so I'm not sure how it is to get them as an adult - but I think if you keep your skin hydrated and moisturized (drinking water using vitamin E moisturizer like the the other beauties mentioned) then your skin should be able to heal itself quicker - if nothing else you can use neosporin to fade the scars or mederma if that doesn't work

I came down with the chicken pox at 17 years old. I just moisturized my skin head to toe once the scabs fell off. I didn't do anything special beyond that. As long as you don't pick at the scabs during its healing process then you shouldn't experience any scarring.

Thanks all :)
was so scared of scarring but now am not.
yeah Raylene its a pink/white spot below the scab.
I am trying not to pick up the scabs during the healing process but I picked 2 out them while in deep sleep. what to do about them??

You can try sleeping with gloves or mitties on, my brother had to do that because he's scratched like mad in his sleep. But that will only help a bit, because as the scab starts to lift and pull away from the skin, just rolling on your sheet could pull them off. But as long as your don't pick them off and cause bleeding, within a couple to a few weeks all discolouration spots should be gone. Think of them more-so as mosquito bites now haha hope it's not too much longer for you now :)
