Every time I use purple eyeshadow my eyes are all foggy the next day. I have googled it and it sounds like I might be having a reaction to the red dye used called carmine, but only seems to affect me with purple eyeshadow! Does anyone know of eyeshadows that don't contain that?

Try sugarpill cosmetics I had the same problem with purple and blue as well.

It will boil down to you reading ingredients labels. Some shades within one line may have several containing the offending ingredient while other shades may not. You will usually find it at the near bottom of an ingredients list.

Thanks ladies. Shelley, it always happens with purple shades, it can be high end or drugstore and I love purple :-(

It it because purple isn't a natural colour and they have to bleach another colour to get it, it's the bleach that is irritating

Like Shelley said. you're going to have to read the labels. my issue is with pinks. but if I keep it high end I'm ok.. since yours isn't that cut and dry. you need to dig deep into those ingredients.
