Hey there!
My hair is really damaged :( I don't know what to do!
My hair is very short, quite thick, and gets oily really fast.
I've been washing my hair about every three to four days, using dry shampoo in between. I use dry shampoo a lot, but if I don't, my hair goes oily.
I eat really healthily and it is very rare that I will use heat on it, and when I do it is only a blow-dryer.
It just gets oily so fast so then I wash it, and then after I wash it, it gets really weak and really dry, and then the next day it gets oily again! Also, I haven't dyed it for over six months, so it couldn't be because of dye. I really want my hair to be healthy again so that I can dye it without completely destroying it.
Any advice?

Hmm, it reminds me of my moms hair. granted she's had 3 children, lol. but it could be hormonal. usually play scalps are associated with bodily changes, or your scalp skin feels like oil is lacking. my only though could be, to use a cleansing conditioner and move away from using shampoo to often. these kinds of conditioners clean your scalp and retain moisture, which could probably help with oil control. I hope you find a solution soon :)

I would give the dry shampoo a break and focus on a traditional wash and amping up on the deep conditioning. Natural oils aren't necessarily a bad thing as it travels down the hair shaft acting as a natural moisturizer. When you keep removing those natural oils then the hair just becomes thirsty resulting in dryness.

Sounds like there is a hormonal influence going on here. In addition, your hair issues are likely a result of whatever is going on at the scalp level. Either hormones or a dry skin issue would be my assessment I would definitely see a dermatologist to see if there is anything she can prescribe or tell you to do to help alleviate some of the symptoms you are experiencing. You may think that not washing your hair everyday is helpful, however I have often heard that a dermatologist will in fact say the opposite regarding the type of symptoms you are reporting. A dermatologist will be well versed in how hormones can affect the skin/hair too. Take care! :)

Using dry shampoo just traps in the dirt and oil. Just wash and co- wash your hair and sometimes deep condition

I've heard that this happens to some people. Type in Google "the no poo method" and read about it. Maybe you'll like it, maybe not :). I would also recomend to put hairmaks to help your hair get hydrated. But if you use olive oil do NOT apply it directly to your dry hair, it has to be wet.

Olive oil is fine applied to dry hair. It works different for everyone. Personally, masks work better when my hair is dry rather than wet, but others it works better wet than dry.
