Baking soda on the skin is extremely harsh and bad for the skin.

Coconut tends to dry my skin out, so I used Olive Oil. However, it's whichever you prefer works best for you ðŸ˜Š

It really depends on what type of skin. I'm combination, it does my skin justice.

Shanae is right. Regardless of what your skin type is baking soda causes damage whether you see it or not.

Baking soda causes micro tears in your skin. Yes it looks healthy now, but in 5 years it'll be a lot worse than someone who didn't use baking soda. Or if you got your skin looked at in a microscope, you'd see tons of damage.

You don't have to stop doing it, we are just informing that people who try it will damage their skin, no matter the skin type, but it's completely up to them whether they do it.

The person who wrote that, and the one they quite, neither of them have any actual experience in cosmetology of any sort. The one they quote is an economics graduate. If you take advice from someone who has never studied skin, that's on you. But personally I wouldn't take car advice from a shoe salesmen, so I won't trust an economic graduate over my cosmetology and science text books.

Mademoiselle, we really don't want you or anybody to have any problems in the future because of mistakes that could be easily avoided. It's because we care! Xoxo.

I'm going to have to disagree with these ladies ,some professional grade micro machines are filled with sodium bicorbonate crystals which is baking soda , used very thined out it can be a once a month microdermabrasion treatment , you really wanna use pure sodium bicorbonate not armor hammer baking soda , and I do have skin care experience being a Esthetician for 10 years , If you have sensitive skin don't try this method.

Thanks everyone. I am still learning more & more about skin care. I'm majoring to be an Esthetician this is all a form of practice to me.  ðŸ˜Š

@Alyx & Breeze...right on!! Power to the knowledge and the voice of concern.

@Traci...she is on point and her advice is golden as she does this for a living. Some of these DIY's are downright scary and while they make your skin look great in the present its the underlying damage that comes to the surface years later that actually keeps my husband in business as he is the one having to undo or decrease the damage inflicted on a clients skin due to things they did or used years ago.
