Help With Perming?

So I growing out my pixie cut that I got last September and I was wondering if I can get a perm and will actually be curly,not just wavy. anyone know how I can achieve curls like this with a perm? I know how to do it will curlers but I'd like to do it permanently.

I'd go to a salon rather than at home so they can assure that it comes out curly rather than wavy.

If you want super curly hair and not jut wavy you might end up looking like an old lady. I got a perm that used small rods and large rods so it looks like curly beach waves. You might be able to get those curls with big rods but they might be too wavy.
