Waterproof Mascara. Apply it right after you curl your lashed and it'll hold the curl for longer. It also usually hold on the the lashes more and doesn't run around to cause that "panda effect". At the same time it can be harder to remove so I recommend getting an eye makeup remover

Waterproof mascara to help them stay curled, and a good setting powder under the eyes to keep them from getting that "panda effect"

Use a good eyelash curler. I have very straight long lashes that don't curl easily but they stay curled with the Ardell eyelash curler. I love it. Also use a mascara that is more on the dry side. I find that wet formulas make my eyelashes fall even more. And use a waterproof formula it'll help with both smudging and keeping your lashes curled.

The waterproof mascara trick doesn't seem to work for me but I'll try a lash primer

They nailed all of it. But I do suggest trying one trick that requires getting a hair dryer and heating up your lash curler for a bit, and then using it on your lashes. :) it works however don't heat it too long
