I just recently got my nose pierced on the 27th of February, a day after I got it done, I noticed this red bump around my piercing, I've been doing the aftercare as said, doing sea salt soaks and using anti bacterial soap on it and rinsing it but the bump won't go away, can some please help me and tell me what it is and how to make it go away. Thanks.

I'm using this anti bacterial lightly scented soap, I heard it could be either a keloid or hypertrophic scarring but unsure, I was going to maybe get some tea tree oil and put a dab on there then do my sea salt soak but not sure if it would be effective.

I had one for months, but it eventually went away. Just make sure you're not touching it & cleaning it. I cleaned it 2 times a day with warm water & non iodized sea salt with a cotton ball.

Okay thanks, I usually clean it once in the morning and than at night and use non iodized sea salt mixed with warm water and soak a cotton ball with it then apply to my nose for 5mins then put anti bacterial soap on it in the shower and rinse it off, glad to see I'm not the only one that has had this

Keloids? I got them on my ears and I applied pure tea tree oil to them and they dried up and shrunk this is what my piercer told me to do and it worked. its also a disinfectant

Oh okay, yeah in my above post, I was thinking of using tea tree oil because a lot of people said it was effective so il give that try and dab a little bit on the piercing and should I do it 2-3 times a week?

I did it every time I was staying in the house b/c it has a strong smell it does go away after a while though and if its really small yes. but if its larger I'd do it more.

It's just small at the moment so il do it 2-3 times a week and see how it goes. Thanks so much hun

I had this happen on my cartilage piercing, it's a blood blister. Not dangerous nor is it a sign of rejection, but do NOT pop it or mess with it. Having the piercing at all increases your chance of infection in that area, if you pop it that chance will triple. Just clean the area as normal, it will go away on its own. It does take a while though :/

Yeah I had bumps too by my cartilage piercings. They don't hurt, it's just a pesky bump and they went away on it's own but I will definitely keep up on my cleaning routine and wait for it to go away. Thanks ladies, you all have been very helpful

It's most likely a granumola, I'd recommend cleaning it with tea tree oil or hot sea salt soaks, it'll take time to go away though.

I used to have a granumola but it's gone now, they're extremely common even if they are properly taken care of, also do not remove the piercing it'll just cause more trauma

DONT TRY POPPING IT!! It's not a pimple!
Just keep doing sea salt soaks & anti bacterial washes it will go away just don't touch it , you can also try putting aquaphor (just on the bump though) that's what I did when I had one & it went away. My friend tried popping hers & it just made this really ugly scar by her piercing

Another thing you can do is add the sea salt to your nose and leave it over night. When mixed with some water, I was able to put some on the bump & let it dry. Mine went away after about a week of doing so. It came back a few months later, and then went away again as soon as I did this.
