How can I tell if my actual nail is broken?

Ok so I'm wearing acrylic and sometimes I can be a little "manly" when it comes to me doing certain things. I cracked my nail and I'm not sure f I cracked the gel or my real nail.. I'm the type of person that's not really prone to pain so I'm like is it broken or not? Can you guys help?

Well, if your nail turns purple black, you should go to the doctor, to check it out! If your nail is starting to get loose, or you see that its black, with a white spot or not then yes! Also, if it is when or if your nail comes off check if you have a nail bed, which is if you have a layer of the nail that protects your nail! And, because it is your nail it would grow in a little bit depending on what is there and how you got hurt.Thanks! I, am seeing it,but it is hard to know because, it is hard to know if it is the acrylic gel nail or your nail underneath the acrylic gel.

It's so hard to tell. But I think from experience acrylics break way easier then gel nails. So I think that it shouldn't have cracked your real nail. However, you may want someone to take a closer look just to be safe! :)
