Eyeshadow for brownskin girls?

Hello, so I have the naked 2 and 3 and I do not like the way they look on me. I am not a big fan of eyeshadows I try to stay away from them. I am good with doing others makeup but when it comes to mine I am unsure of how to put it on or what colors to use that would look good. I am tired of using neutrals.

But, while my friend was playing around with my makeup, we found out that gold eyeshadow looked really good on her (she has an extremely deep skin tone)

I've never really tried color shadows but on YouTube there are plenty of tutorials done by colored women that use and incorporate color shadows.

With your skin tone which is beautiful by the way, I think darker red or violets would look really pretty.

I use purples a lot, I too was tired of golds, light browns I think any colors would look good honestly except for pinks they don't really show.

I'm a nc 45 shade in mac and I wear almost any shade of eyeshadow and I own all 3 of the naked pallets, purples and neutrals looks the best

I really don't think of my skintone (c45 range) when it comes to eye colors. I just go by what I like. I love purple so I usually go for metallic purple with either a silver or gold tone versus the pastel purple (thinking Easter egg color purple). Whatever catches your fancy Deja. Its all about swatching shades in store and seeing what screams;"Take me home!".

I prefer warmer golds and coppery brown colors because they make my brown eyes look lighter and go with my skin color while still adding some color, if that makes sense.
