Stay away from black eyeliner. Try a charcoal grey, plum or browns. If you feel you need black use a true black shadow not liner to smudge out. Go easy on dark shadows. If you want a smokey eye use the bronze colors to obtain that not grays or black. Also get a "white" eye primer... It brightens the eye area 10xs what a shadow or concealer will do. Place it lightly in eye corners an over lids.

Also stay in the neutral color family to open the eyes... Does not mean whites, tans, creams etc... Try some cool pinks... Matte pale pinks... Any light matte color.. Coastal scents " tropical" palette is awesome for bringing the eyes out. :) an if you use glitter, only use on the corners of the eye.

An I see in your pics you wear false eye lashes... Stay with natural looking lashes. The thicker an longer you go the smaller you create the eye area. If you want thickness try lashes that are more dense on the ends or use individual ones.
