I say go for it! I did my hair similar and loved it, think about going back to it all the time! It was so pretty and fun. As long as you go into it knowing it is a lot of upkeep because that color fades very quickly. ;) But it's so worth it! Here's what my hair looked like...

It looks more like a light peach color because of the lighting but my hair naturally got sort of an ombre look when I dyed it and let it grow out. I originally used the lusty lavender splat dye kit with bleach and did my whole head a really nice bright purple and it eventually faded to this and I just never redid it and never did anything with my roots.
