I think your hair looks good, but because you want to change it then I probably suggest to add layers and to make a side fringe but keep it long :D

Have you colored your hair before? if not, maybe start off with highlights because coloring the hair can be damaging. since you have a medium complexion, I'd stick with your brown hair. maybe a lighter brown? but if you're just sticking with highlights, I think a caramel color would look nice :)

I think sideswept bangs are a great idea to add interest and for something new thats not too dramatic.
