So I've been on the hunt for a new foundation and I was thinking about getting a sample of the Tarte Amazonian clay. Has anyone tried this or have opinions on it? xx

I hated it tbh. Accentuated my dry patches, looked cakey no matter how or how much I applied, pass from me.

What's your skin type? Maybe I can suggest something for you.

I like it. I like to sheer it out with too faced Hangover rx primer, and start applying it with my fingers, and finish blending with a damp sponge. I have dry skin, and when I applied it with the primer, I got better coverage without it looking so cakey. there are better foundations out there though.

But I do have a good bit of red on my cheeks because I have translucent skin (from a disorder I have) so it's difficult for my to find a good full coverage foundation/concealer to cover it up.

If you have dry skin you're not going to like it. However, I find that it controls oil very well, it's longwearing and makes my skin look really nice. I really like it, but it's medium coverage, not full. Plus, it's full of healthy ingredients for your skin. When I was at Sephora I tried it out and was surprised. I looked healthy and it covered my flaws decently. Some people rave about it. Get a sample. It really, really depends on your skin type.
