eat less ? no i don't think you should stop eating thats ridiculous. try to eat healthier like salad & water and stuff do your crunches and jumping jacks run a bit keep doing it until you are satisfied with how your weight is
Wasn't meant to sound rude but that's the basics of weight loss. I've just lost three stone and it was the best advice I got. To lose weight u must reduce calorie intake.
jocelyn no one said to stop eating. but yes, eating less is how you lose weight. calories you ingest must decrease in order to lose weight. you must burn more than you eat. that's plain and simple math. and nowhere in there did i say not to eat. less than 1200 cals a day is unhealthy, but most people really shouldn't be eating 2000 a day, which is the "average," unless you are extremely active. your current weight, and what you'd like to weigh, plus how much activity you get per day, all factor into how much you should actually eat. for most women that is between 1200 and 1800 a day.
I lost half a stone just by cutting out junk food, i even stopped putting sugar in my tea. You need you remember to replace the sugar with fibre though. I also took up skipping, pilates and 3kg weight lifting just to tone up. Only thing now is when i crave a McDonalds i feel really bad when i eat it, but once in a while cant hurt! X
Obviously eating less will result in weight loss but for most people when they start eating normally again they put weight back on. The best thing you can do is adopt a healthy lifestyle that you can keep up even after you lose weight. This should be cutting back on unhealthy foods; eating healthy, balanced meals and snacks and regular exercise.
Porridge! Great for breakfast, or a half sized portion as a snack if your desperate before bed. Bananas are good for breakfast too. Pasta or baked potato or grilled chicken and any other meat that has all the fat taken off, try to buy good cuts of meat from a proper butcher not supermarkets because they are far less fatty and the butcher gives great advise on how best to cook. I cant live without my rare beef steaks so as long as theres no fat i can eat as many as i like. 10oz steak yes please! Xx
Also, call me sad, but iv started taking bunches of grapes to the cinema, i cant sit there with nothing while everyone eats choccy and popcorn so grapes are a good replacement because they arent messy like other fruit and theyre sweet so still a treat lol xx
you don't 'eat less' because undereating is as bad as overeating. try to just eat healthier, and do some exercise. 70% diet, and 30% exercise. protein is great to feel full for hours!

I enjoy looking for foods that have minimal ingredients... or I cook things from basic ingredients. I could buy a prepackaged dinner or soup or something with a bunch of ambiguous ingredients in it that are usually loaded with sodium, or I can reproduce it by myself from buying the basic components in the dishes/soups/whatever and making it myself! I don't know if I clearly said that, its kind of hard to convey any other way though, sorry.
I am the worst snacker, in all areas of my life I love instant gratification, so of course that applies to eating.... I always keep pre made food or snacks around so I can snack on something healthier instead of crabbing chips or getting take out or eating nasty snacks. I usually set about an hour aside the day I go food shopping and pre make a bunch of easy to grab snacks or package up snack sized portions of things. I cut up carrots and celery into "snack size" bites and put them in tupperware in my fridge (instead of the prepackaged snacks or expensive baby carrots). I am OBSESSED with kale, so I always keep a whole bunch of kale pre massaged and pre cut in my fridge so I can make an easy salad (I keep blackberries, nuts/seeds, and other fruits and veggies pre-prepped and on hand for salads). I find "snack size" treats are way more expensive than buying things in bulk, so I buy normal sized bags of everything and make my own small portions of things. Wether its the carrots and celery being pre cut and rinsed or making small packages of pretzels or something, it helps to already create a small portion so you won't just mindlessly eat of the bag-which is too easy to do. I really prefer fresh veggies but frozen vegetables are soooo cheap and easy, so I usually keep some on hand if I get in that lazy mood where you don't want to prepare anything. I don't have a microwave, so cooking frozen veggies or putting together a salad with pre-prepared ingredients are some of the easiest and quickest options for me when I'm getting antsy!
